Messaging & Sales Expert
So I'm back with part 2.
In Part 1 of this blog series, we looked at the nuances between copywriting and content writing, unpacking how each serves a distinct purpose in your marketing tool box.
Today, I'm kicking it up a notch and delving into the art of planning your content like a pro. Get ready to learn the BEST way to drive more consistent sales, all while keeping your sanity intact.
Gone are the days of frantically, scrambling each morning to churn out random posts that may or may not resonate with your audience.
I want you to start thinking more strategically.
And start planning your content as part of a wider marketing campaign.
Every piece of your content should serve a purpose, leading your audience on step-by-journey with you. It's not haphazardly throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks. It's about crafting a cohesive narrative that guides your audience towards the inevitable conclusion that you're the ONE for them!
So, how do you become a content planning maestro?
1. Choose Your Focus
Whether you're promoting a specific offer or showcasing a range (if you have a product based business) you should laser-focus your content around a central idea. This gives you & your content a clear purpose and direction.
All roads should lead to Rome.
2. Campaign Mindset
Think of each piece of content as part of a larger campaign, rather than standalone posts. Each piece should seamlessly connect to the next, guiding your audience on a journey that ultimately leads to your desired outcome. From sparking their interest in a post, to signing up for freebie, to registering for a workshop or booking a consultation.
3. Test and Learn
Not every piece of content will be a home run, and that's okay! Track which posts perform well and which ones fall flat. This data-driven approach allows you to refine your strategy over time, honing in on what resonates most with your
audience.
4. Build a Content Library
By planning your content in advance, you're not just creating random posts; you're building a library of evergreen content that can be repurposed and recycled down the line. In fact, when you switch gears and start thinking in terms of campaigns rather than just content... you can reuse the same pieces of content (with some tweaks) over & over. Each time improving on last version. Making them stronger and more compelling as you refine your voice and message.
Now, doesn't that sound good?
I can practically hear the exhale of relief from here!
5. Purposeful Promotion
Every single nugget of content you put out there should be doing some serious seed-planting. Your messaging should be doing all the heavy lifting while you're sipping your morning coffee.
By the time you hop on those sales call, your potential clients should practically be doing cartwheels with excitement because your messaging has already done the charm offensive.
Talk about making sales a breeze! 🚀
Can you see the possibilities?
It's time to work smarter not harder.
By thinking in campaigns rather than content you're setting yourself up for success. Your content maps to each stage of your sales process. And once you've created your content once it's just a matter of refining it.
By adopting a more strategic approach to your content planning, you're not only streamlining your workflow but also maximising the impact of your marketing efforts. We're talking more sales AND getting your life back.
So, roll up your sleeves, flex those creative muscles, and get ready to elevate your content game like never before.
Stay tuned for Part 3 of this series, where I'll dive even deeper into simpler systems & consistent sales.
Until then, happy planning!
